Research

Our work focuses on applied, field-based research to protect the unique elasmobranch species of Fuvahmulah. Surrounded by deep ocean and rich ecosystems, the island is home to some of the world’s most remarkable sharks and rays, species whose ecology is still not fully understood.

Together with our partners and supporters, we conduct field research that highlights the challenges facing marine megafauna and the solutions that can protect them. We’re grateful to every partner, funder, organisation, and volunteer who stands with us. Conservation is a collective effort, and we couldn’t do it without you.
